We have an opportunity to create a great first impression. I know it doesn't look like much, but, with the help of TLC, landscape and PAINT, we are going to turn this entry into something fantastic. 

I find myself drooling over these magnificent, dark rooms in magazines and on Pinterest. But I am sort of intimidated to do it. My own house is all bright white (White Dove to be specific). So, with the exception of my Teal Pool Bathroom, there's nowhere to do it. 

And, since we've been flipping homes, I've tried to stay on the safe side, design-wise, wanting to make choices that are interesting, but appeal to a larger audience. 

But things are changing!

THINGS ARE COMING TO LIFE.

We've been busy doing a million things at Weaver. One project that I'm particularly excited to share with you are the renderings we had done. I am giddy with excitement. Take a look.

It's been a busy time at Weaver. In the last 2 weeks, drywall went up, windows were installed, exterior siding finished. Which means what? 

We're ready for tile!

This is the largest house we've done. And with the addition of the new full bath in the checkerboard bathroom, we're up to 3 bathrooms to do! That's a lot of design decisions. And heaps and heaps of tile. 

It's been awhile in the making but we are excited to finally share our kitchen plans with you.

We have a bunch of decisions to make. Instead of doing it alone, we thought we'd involve you guys.

I THOUGHT THE WHOLE RECLAIMED WOOD THING WAS A TREND. COMING TO AN END. 

However, a small, creative shop in Willow Glen, Studio Terra Amico, is making me and others question that fact. I mean, really. Not only do they have a rad store front (featured below) but they have also done design for some of the most notable restaurants in the area, Orchard City Kitchen and The Table, to name a few. And now we can add Google to their roster. They are designing items and spaces for them up and down the peninsula!

We have been so focused on the Weaver project, and felt like doing a project that we could actually finish in a few days. I was really uninspired by our existing Weck jar lights that we had made a few years prior. So, off we went!

It's that time again, Demo Time. Time to get aggressive and deconstruct! Lance and his team really did a number on this house. He spray painted an "X" on every wall to be demo'd. Clever, yes. But also a super graphic shot.

As I said on the website (if anyone saw it), this wasn't in the plans. Our latest project, Lincoln Avenue, exhausted both of us on many levels. So we had made a commitment to each other that we wouldn't take on a project that couldn't be completed in 4-5 months. 

Apparently, this gem had fallen out of contract with a developer and hadn't gone back on yet. Our agent and good friend, Darcey Arena, asked Lance to go see it. Shortly after, Lance says to me, "I need to talk to you about something and I'm a little nervous". He's never nervous so I got nervous. He said, "I found a house but it doesn't fit into the plan. Gray and I have spent a great deal of time together lately.

We recently completed a project where we used a lot of gray. Like, almost the whole house. We've had so many questions about the colors we used so I thought it was high time to share some of our experience with our new friend, Gray.

The cottage we were renovating had a Clawfoot tub. We could have replaced it but we really wanted to keep it. 

I had always seen gorgeous Claw foot tubs. After much searching, I found my inspiration.

We couldn't be more pleased to report that we accepted an offer on Lincoln Avenue.

It's too soon for major celebrations as we still need to get through escrow. But we wanted to share the good news as well as this video that is (finally!) finished which shows the transformation of our little "crap shack" into the beauty it is today.
