We had the privilege and honor of living in the town of San Miguel de Allende and experiencing it's magic. This was 10 years ago. And I can only count backwards that fast because my baby, who was born there, is now 9. 

This was 2007, before the massive market decline in 2008, and everyone was riding high. Real estate was on fire down here as people were trying to capitalize on all the ex-pats and wealthy, artistic types looking for a vacation home in Mexico. An opportunity presented itself to buy a piece of land and build a home from the ground up. So I jumped at it. Here's the project.
